I was shopping for groceries in Wal-Mart the other day and I was in the canned vegetables aisle.
I noticed a new product. It was 2 cobs of corn on the cob in a vacuum sealed bag. It says all natural, non-gmo. But then I noticed it was Halal Marked! It was not the same halal mark that we have already seen on Tom's of Maine products, Similac baby formula, Ensure protein drinks, other protein muscle drinks and diabetic drinks. Many people have wondered and asked over the years about Thanksgiving.
Is it pagan like Christmas and Easter?
I have looked into this issue several times. And the following continues to be my conclusion and official statement on this issue. NO. I do NOT believe Thanksgiving to be pagan, bad, wicked, evil or forbidden.
I have never been able to find any true and real evidence of any pagan connection to Thanksgiving.
I have seen many accusations. But no proof.
I do not see any pagan roots or origins. I do not see any pagan symbols associated with it. I do not see any evil fruit from it. I do not see any pagan or evil thing associated with it.
All I see is giving Thanks to JEsus. There is nothing wrong with a nation giving thanks to JEsus.
I will be observing this national day of Thanksgiving in JE-sus Name.
I hope that you and your family will also do the same, instead of fearing and worrying about untrue accusations or being legalistic about good traditions that are not pagan. However, I do WARN and CAUTION YOU to be careful to not get caught in a trap of Christmas.
