Death, Heaven and Hell, The Real Hidden Truth
January 28, 2023
Short notes.
It's important to listen to the actual sermon, as many other important things were also said.
Psalm 146:4 in that very day his thoughts perish.
Psalm 115:17 The dead praise not the LORD.
Isaiah 38:18 The grave cannot praise God.
Ecclesiastes 9:5-10 Dead know nothing and have no reward yet.
12:7 dust to dust. Spirit to God. But God is everywhere, not just in Heaven.
John 3:13 And no man has gone to Heaven.
Acts 2:29 David, that he is both dead and buried = Not walking around eating grapes in Heaven!
Acts 2:34 David didn't go to Heaven.
Acts 7:59 Stephen went to sleep.
1 Cor. 15:20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
1 Cor. 15:51 We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
1 Thes. 4:14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
The 1st Resurrection is the Resurrection of the Saints (those that have been called in this life, heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ and accepted that calling and stayed faithful until the death or until the Coming of The LORD). 1 Cor. 15.
Rev 20 Two resurrections and the second death, which demands a second life.
Matthew 19:28 "And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the NEXT LIFE when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
29 And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.
30 but many that are first shall be last and the last shall be first."
20:16 So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen."
1 Cor. 5:5 "To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus".
Proves people get saved in the 100 years after the Second Resurrection.
Proof of Short Season being 100 years
Isa. 65:17-20
Isa. 65:20 There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed (cut off/destroyed).
The Rewards of the Righteous and of the Wicked
Malachi 4:1 For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.
:2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
:3 And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts.
Matt. 5:5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Rev. 3:12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of Heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.
Rev. 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of Heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
What about the man on the cross in Luke 23:43 and Jesus said to him, Today you will be with me in Paradise?
Read that again my friend. In the original writings, there was not a comma. So if the comma was inserted in the wrong place, it would make all the difference in the world. Instead, we should read it like this: "Verily I say unto you today (right now), You shall be (will be, future tense) with me in Paradise."
Bullinger's Companion Bible notes says; "I Say unto thee today". "Today. Connect this with "I Say", to emphasize the solemnity of the occasion; not with "shalt thou be". See the Hebraism in note on Deut. 4:26. .....Punctuation also as we have it to-day is entirely absent... The text reads on without any divisions between letters or words until MSS. of the ninth century...when there is seen for the first time a single point which separates each word. None of our modern marks of punctuation are found until the ninth century and then only in the Latin versions and some cursives. ...From this it will be seen that the punctuation of all modern editions of the Greek text and of all versions made from it, rests entirely on human authority and has not weight whatever in determining or even influencing the interpretation of a single passage. ..."
Is there another verse in the bible that tells us whether or not that man did go to Heaven that day? Yes! He did not go that day and neither did Jesus that day! Notice: John 20:17 "Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God."
Paradise is not Heaven. Paradise was the Garden of Eden, and will be the entire new universe after the 1,100 years.
Matthew 10:28 Destroy soul in The Lake of Fire.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gracious gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Two opposites! Unrepentant sinners can't have eternal life because eternal life is the gift of God for the saints. Eternal death is the reward of the wicked.
Eternal Fire & death. The punishment is eternal in the sense that it is eternal death, the 2nd death, but not eternal punishing.
