The Reality of the 2nd Resurrection
Brief Sermon Notes for Nov. 20, 2021
Rev. 20 If there is a FIRST resurrection, then there must be a second resurrection. Of which the greatest majority of pastors, preachers, churches and Christians have never heard of, because they are very ignorant of the scriptures. Pastors don't teach these verses because these verses expose their false doctrines such as the fable of immediate Heaven/Hell.
"Short time" in Rev. 20:3 is revealed as 100 years in Isa. 65:20.
Context of Isa.65:16-19 is Paradise. Therefore verse 20 is very clearly speaking of the time just before Paradise. Verse 20 has never been fulfilled and is impossible to be fulfilled at any other time other than just before Paradise of the New Heavens/Earth in Rev. 21-22.
Ezek. 37 describes the 2nd resurrection with specific emphasis on Israel. But Rev. 20:5 "rest of the dead" refers to everyone who doesn't rise in the 1st resurrection.
The 2nd death is for people who stay lost and do not get saved in the 100 years after the 2nd resurrection.
However 1 Cor. 5:1-5 and Matt.25:31-46 proves that people can be saved in that 100 years.
If a person in this current lifetime dies in sin, or lost, or even if they died saved but still incomplete (young or immature or still in some sin) in this life, all hope is not lost. The 2nd resurrection reveals God's perfect plan of salvation.
When a person dies in this life, we should not speak words that could be interpreted as if this life was the person's only opportunity to get saved. We can't ignore 1 Cor. 5:5.
Most pastors can't explain this verse because they are brainwashed with traditional fables of false religion.
It's extremely unlikely for a young person who is saved but who dies in their teen years (or younger) to enter the 1st resurrection because it's extremely unlikely that they have had time to reach completeness in their spiritual growth.
Ephesians 4:11-16 tells us that we need to be in agreement in unity (in the truth with correct doctrine, as the apostles, prophets, etc have been brought to lead us in.) It also tells us that we must come to full maturity and completeness in Christ to the full measure that belongs to Christ. That is a very high standard! But not impossible. Other verses confirm that God commands and expects us to eventually reach a point of perfection/holiness of no sin. "Be Ye Perfect" + "Be Ye Holy" + "Perfection Holiness". This is not talking about perfection of memory, pronunciation, spelling, etc or no mistakes. But it is talking about perfection of no sin (1 John 3:9) and perfection of full maturity (Eph. 4).
There are many reasons for the need of the 2nd Resurrection. Babies who died in abortion, people who never heard the name Jesus, people with mental illness, people who die young, people who get saved but still struggle with sin, people who never heard the truth and also people who were not meant to enter the 1st resurrection but are appointed for the harvest of the 2nd resurrection. Jesus often used the analogy of farm/vinyard harvests for the Kingdom. Not every plant is meant to rise in the same season. 2 harvests of souls is God's perfect plan.
