Christians Must Be Involved in Politics
Dec. 19, 2020 (5th of 10th month)
Dan. 2:48-49 Daniel was promoted. Even asked for his friends to also receive political appointments. Satrap = ruler, governor, overseer. Daniel was appointed CHIEF GOVERNOR OR CHIEF OVERSEER, OVER OTHER GOVERNORS.
6:1-3 Daniel again appointed in the Persian Empire.
Neither of these times did Daniel say anything like "No, I can't be part of the kingdoms of mankind, but only of GOD's Kingdom."
Neither did David, Joseph, or any other man of GOD.
Gen. 41:38-44 Joseph was promoted over Egypt.
Luke 3:19-20 John Baptizer spoke out against sinful ruler. Yes he was arrested, but the point is that John the Baptizer didn't think that he needed to avoid speaking out against political rulers, therefore, commonsense says that he would also not avoid speaking in support political rulers either.
Tetrarch (te'-trark, tet'-rark) = a governor of the fourth part of a province.
Abraham fought wars.
GOD told Israel to fight in many wars.
GOD even told the tribes to divide.
The American Revolutionary War was GOD's plan for separation of Ephraim & Manasseh in order for America to be founded.
Not just war but politics was part of that. The Boston Tea Party and the Declaration of Independence were all politically motivated, and yet also GOD motivated at the same time!
NONE of those men of GOD said that it's worldly or sinful or wrong to be involved in politics!
David was King.
Samuel anointed both Saul and David.
Book of Daniel say that GOD appoints all kings/presidents.
Can't separate government & GOD.
The High Priest always worked in cooperation with the king.
Ways that we are involved in government even if we don't want to be:
Paying taxes, as Jesus said that we must do.
Obeying, even as it says to do in Romans and Peter.
Government schools
Social Security
Driver's License or ID
etc.
John 17:9 Jesus prayed that GOD NOT take us out of the world.
Christians NOT doing enough in politics is the reason why evil has gained so much power!
Our children and the next generation is greatly hurt by weak, baby ass Christians who refuse to get involved with politics! Voting, protesting, signing petitions, etc are all ways that we have a responsibility to protect our families and our society, as well as the church.
We must choose a side in politics, because the Democrats are the wicked & the bible says that we must expose & rebuke the wicked! Even as John did!
We also have the duty to support the leaders that GOD appoints as the political leaders of the right side. These men won't be perfect! They may be part of Babylon even as Daniel was. But they are still GOD's appointed political leaders which must be supported by the Church. If we don't we will pay for it! GOD will punish! Plus, we condemn ourselves, our society and our children and the next generation because we allowed evil to take control.
