Miracle: 3 weeks ago on Aug. 13, I preached about why we should love God.
I didn't know until some time this week that the day before that sermon was the Jewish holiday of Tu B'Av (15th of Av). It's a day very popular for weddings, and wedding proposals. In other words, similar to America's "Valentine's Day" but without the pagan origin.
This is amazing that I preached about loving God on the very day after that holiday, without knowing it. Praise Jesus!
Update: Another miracle: Later that evening, we were watching "Duck Dynasty" and a Valentine's Day commercial came on! This is September! This was the same day that I mentioned Valentine's Day! This was God letting us know that He heard the sermon and is confirming his presence.
Sermon: Every True Christian Needs A Spiritual Church Home
And family gathering which is done online for most of us. In person would be most preferred. We're praying for more laborers and pastors and congregations. But until that's achieved, gathering online in our social media groups and online services provides us with multiple opportunities for fellowship.
Heb. 10:22-24 Forsake not the assembly
Need brothers and sisters
Need one another
Can't do this alone.
Eph. 4:11-16 Church elders and congregation
5:19-32 Submitting to each other. Provoking each other to good works. Encouraging one another.
John 10:5 Voice of the shepherd they shall know and flee from the voice of a stranger. God gathers his people together.
Home to be fed.
Pastor = shepherd Pasture.
1 Tim. 1:2 Paul called Timothy his "son", but was only talking spiritually.
Acts 1:15 Peter stood among the "brethren"
Lev. 23:1-4 Commanded assembly, not just rest.
Since we can't find other true believers locally, we gather online.
Where promotion is available.
And place to learn and to grow.
With a spiritual father figure. Even as the church is a type of family.
The family father eventually dies. Part of his responsibility is to raise the children to eventually be able to do without him. I've said it repeatedly over the years that it's my responsibility to help you to eventually get to the level of knowledge and maturity that you won't always need me. That's not done in one year.
And where feel comfortable.
