ELELUJE!
For a long time, I have had a rock shield plaque on my office door which says "2 Sam. 22:2 (NASB) “The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer"
I've always meant/intended to look up that verse and read it in the bible, but due to having so much to do, I never got around to it.
But tonight, I finally looked it up and read it.
And wow!
Verses 5-6 describes death and water overtaking David.
Verse 16-17 describes David being rescued from death and from the sea "..Then the channels of the sea appeared,
The foundations of the world were exposed
By the rebuke of the Lord,
From the blast of the breath of His nostrils.
17 He sent from on high, He took me;
He drew me out of many waters. ..."
I looked up a commentary to confirm my understanding.
Cambridge Bible for Schools and Colleges says about verse 16: "All nature is pictured as convulsed to its lowest depths; the sea dried up, and the hidden bases of the world laid bare."
Remember that in yesterday's sermon, we read in Ezek. 37 about the graves giving up their dead and David ruling in that time. And we read in Rev. 20 about the sea and the grave giving up their dead.
And I shared the dream report that someone sent me, about the sea pulling back to expose 12 crosses. Very clearly, that was the sea drying up to give up the dead and bringing the 2nd resurrection of David and others.
I said that the 12 crosses represent the 12 apostles. But actually I believe they represent the 12 tribes of Israel.
For me to FINALLY read 2 Samuel 22:2 and further in that chapter, and now finally seeing vs. 5-6 and vs. 16-17, can't be any coincidence! It's Jesus working and confirmation these teachings/sermons and confirming this ministry.
Praise Jesus for this additional miracle!
