Islamic prophecy says that there would be a sign before the return of the Mahdi: “a star will appear in the East giving out as much light as the moon.” Ka’b said: “It is a star that rises from the East and illuminates for the people of the Earth like the illumination of a moon in a full-moon night.”
I have so far not found any muslim quoting this islamic prophecy in connection with the recent meteor strike. But that may be because I do NOT know the islamic websites. If and when the mahdi (antichrist) is manifested soon, the muslims may point to this meteor strike as a fulfilled prophecy, whether or not they are talking about it right now, and I would think that they ARE talking about it.
