Oct. 26, 2022 (1st day of 8th biblical month)
1 Peter 2:5-10 We should honor God by proclaiming his greatness.
We should worship him in praise, and by our testimonies.
:9 SO THAT YOU MAY = SO THEN,
1 Cor. 14:39-40 Forbid not speaking in tongues.
Nehemiah 8:1-8
:2 Both men & women present.
:3 Their assembly for reading the bible was from sunrise until the middle of the day (maybe between noon to 6 pm). It wasn't just for one hour or less like more churches.
:4-5 Leaders stood on a raised platform. It's not wrong to do this, despite what some people have taught.
:5 When scriptures were opened to be read, the people stood. I'm not saying that it's required. But it's interesting how much more respect that ancient people gave to the scriptures.
:6 The congregation raised their hands. It's acceptable!
The people cheered and spoke. It's acceptable. Not have to be silent!
The people also worshipped with their forehead to the ground. It's acceptable!
Book of Songs:
Psalm 100 (Entire chapter) Come into the worship service with praises for God. Shouldn't be silent. It should be emotional.
Psalm 149 (Entire chapter)
:1 in the assembly of the saints. Not just when alone at home. But even during group worship services.
:3 sings = sing
Psalm 133 (Entire chapter) Brethren together
Psalm 134 (Entire chapter) Lifting up hands in praise in church services.
Psalm 135:1-5 Verse 4 similar to 1 Peter 2.
Eccles. 12:9-14 Knowledge, study and understanding is very important.
But what's more important is worship of God.
:13 "fear" means deep reverence/honor toward God. It includes obedience, but also worship.
It is the leaders, administration of the church, that are strong enough to handle the larger amount of research and study. Most people can't handle the amount/degree of research that the leaders can handle. Most people don't have their level of discernment about what to avoid, etc.
Although of course, the preacher promotes and encourages some research and study, but there are many people who do too much study and poison themselves with satanic books/websites.
Romans 10:13-21 There must be preachers/teachers. There must be sermons.
:21 obstinate = (correction to what I said)
obstinate = argumentative/disputing/anti-speech people.
Proper formal church services format:
-Worship by song, dance, musical instruments, raised hands, heads to the floor, etc.
-Then allowing each person that wants to, to sing/play or testify alone.
-Then worship by prayer.
-Then worship by sermon by the pastor or deacon, people listening to the biblical teaching. During this time, people can also worship by raising hands, saying "Amen" or "praise God", "praise Jesus", "Eleluje", etc., bowing heads to the ground, etc.
-Then worship by having a question & answer session. And by allowing each person to share testimonies, prophecies, additional songs and speaking in tongues.
Gatherings where there is no main pastor/deacon presenting a sermon, but rather only each and any person sharing anything they want, without a main authority person to approve or disapprove of the teaching, is not biblical and is a playground for Satan.
1 Thes. 5:19-20 Gatherings where they forbid speaking in tongues, raised hands, amen's, etc, are also not of God and are forbidding the movement of God.
-Often, speaking in tongues includes prophecy. This is how the word "prophesying" became a word for speaking in tongues.
When we say that there are no prophets or apostles today, we deny the speaking of God and movement of God in modern times. God always spoke through his prophets and apostles. He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow, He doesn't change and has always used prophets in every generation. We need worship leaders, pastors, apostles, prophets to lead us in the way of truth.
In most "Baptist" churches in America, the fake worship services seem more like a formal funeral for a rich person, rather than worship. There's no emotion. Nothing heartfelt. Same with all Catholic and Lutheran churches worldwide.
