Mark 14:12-26
:12 No one objected that it wasn't Passover day, because it was Passover day. The correct date. Not a day earlier as some people try to claim. And notice that it was already Passover day before sunset/evening!
:17 Communion at evening = sunset as commanded in Old Testament.
:23 all drink from same cup. (Just one sip 1 Cor.11) This shows love and devotion to each other.
:25 Real wine, not grape juice. Compare to 1 Cor. 11 to see that it was real, because people were getting drunk on it.
:26 They sang one song after communion and foot washing. The communion and foot washing commanded. The one song isn't commanded but could be done as a memorial of what they did.
Today, we don't stay at the church building or people's houses after the communion and foot washing is finished. We depart to our own homes to symbolize that the disciples left Jesus when He was arrested. This also gives us more time and ability to personally think about the sacrifice of Jesus.
John 13:1-17 Foot washing
:1 "in the beginning of" = change to "At".
Verse 2 makes it very clear that it's already Passover, not before.
:17 Add reference to Deut. 11 blessings & cursings connected to commandments.
John 6:48-56 Passover communion absolutely required for salvation.
Of course, the eating & drinking is of the bread and wine. Not cannibalism. The communion bread and wine is not literally his flesh & blood. The demonic Catholics teach they they literally turn into this flesh and blood.
Exo. 12:43 Only baptized members can take communion.
1 Cor. 11:17-34 Must judge one another about who is saved and not. And do not take communion with the unsaved.
2 Cor. 6:14-18 Don't be unequally yoked/held together.
1 Cor. 10:16-21 Not to knowingly eat things sacrificed to idols. Should not drink from both Lord's table and demons both at same time. Although the context in this verse is meats sacrificed, the point that I make is valid that we should not knowingly commune with lost people in holy communion. It's basically a mini marriage supper.
Numbers 9:1-14 Second chance Passover for people who are able to take the first Passover because they were not yet clean enough yet. (In our case, not saved/baptized yet.)
:3 even = change word to sunset.
2 Chron. 30:1-5, 21-23 Also 2nd chance 7 days of Unleavened Bread.
Passover Communion: April 15 Friday at sunset. Followed by foot washing if you have a true brother or true sister to do the foot washing with. If not, just do only the wine and bread without foot washing.
Unleavened Bread: Eat from sunset April 15 to sunset April 22, Friday to Friday. Eat other things also. Do not eat leavened bread products.
Sabbaths: April 15 sunset to April 17 sunrise.
April 21 Thursday at sunset to April 22 Friday at sunset.
Plus weekly Sabbaths.
