Oct. 10, 2022 (15th day of 7th biblical month)
1 Kings 8:1 to 9:9 The 1st Temple, built by King Solomon.
8:2 Athanin = 7th month (Most translations also say that it was at the "feast" (of Tabernacles.)
The 1st Temple was dedicated at the Fiesta of Tabernacles!
Today, after much work on our new sanctuary, we do our main/public dedication of the sanctuary. That shows how powerful the presence of Jesus is in this ministry!
This also reminds me of the miracle of Hanukkah of 2015, when we held our 1st worship services of that "new" ministry building on the day just before Hanukkah. We didn't even realize it, because we were not yet observing it.
And when we started this current new sanctuary project, we didn't plan on completing it on the day just before the Fiesta of Tabernacles, and having the main dedication on the first day of Tabernacles. We were just trying to get it done before the fiesta. But without any knowledge of the fact that the 1st Temple was dedicated at the timing of the fiesta!
Connections between Hanukkah and Fiesta of Tabernacles:
-Miracle timing of our 2 sanctuaries (the 1st one and this second one.)
-2 Maccabees 2:1-19, especially verses 9 & 12, says that Solomon did 8 days of dedication. Maccabees equates that to being connected to Tabernacles because their Hanukkah celebration of the restoration and dedication of the 2nd Temple was also, at the same time, their "2nd chance" way of observing the Fiesta of Tabernacles, because they were having to hide during Tabernacles.
Because of the statement in Maccabees that Solomon observed the same 8 days of dedication, I thought, and taught, that Solomon observed an older form of Hanukkah.
In a way, yes he did, since it was 8 days of dedication of a temple.
But since now we know that it was actually Tabernacles, we now come to understand more accurately, and also now see connections between these 2 fiestas.
Also the parts and furniture for the "Tabernacle of Witness" of the time of Moses (the traveling Temple in the wilderness), were finished being made on the date of Hanukkah.
This current new sanctuary had previously fallen into horrible conditions from previous occupants. Reminds me of the fallen conditions of the temples.
1 Kings 6:38 (found before verse 2 in the LXX/AOB) says that the temple was finished in the 8th month.
But yet, it wasn't dedicated until the Fiesta of Tabernacles 11 months later!
That's incredible! Why would that be?
It must be because of the fact that the Fiesta of Tabernacles won't be much celebrated on Earth in the final year of the Great Tribulation (same situation as the time of Maccabees, and both persecutions by Antiochus/Antichrist/Assad), since the saints get caught up on The Day of Atonement, therefore Zech. 14 can't be fulfilled until 11 months after Jesus returns to Earth in the 8th month. (It will take the 11 months to repair, clean and prepare Jerusalem. 7 of which to remove dead bodies. Ezek. 39.)
Therefore that 1st Tabernacles on Earth during the Millennium, will also be a great dedication!
(Miracle: Brother Jared then pointed out during the worship services, that we have lived here in this house for 11 months! It took 11 months to get the roof fixed and get the sanctuary up and going! This is such an incredible miracle timing!)
We now also see Tabernacles representing renewal & dedication of temples, in relation to Hanukkah. (In addition to the other multiple meanings & symbolisms of the fiesta.
2 Mac. 10:6
2 Mac. 1:18
And we now also see Hanukkah has being a 2nd chance Tabernacles, in addition to all of its other significant meanings.
