Matthew 6:1-2 Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them (or declaring that you did right, even if you really was right.),
Bragging includes saying "I told you so" & "I was right".
Romans 12:3 For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned.

Philippians 2:3 Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.
James 3:14 But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth.
so = THEREFORE
self ambition = a lot of people think that they can choose to be a preacher, a pastor or a prophetess. A lot of people who are not saved or baptized are trying to preach and save other people when they are not even saved themselves. Even if saved, we are not the one who choose to be called, be chosen, be appointed, be ordained for an office of the church or to be on the council. It is GOD that chooses. It is GOD that calls.
James 4:6 But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”
Jude 1:16 These are grumblers, malcontents, following their own sinful desires; they are loud-mouthed boasters, showing favoritism to gain advantage.
Prov 11:2 lowly = HUMBLE
Prov. 27:2 Let another praise you, and not your own mouth; a stranger, and not your own lips.
haughty = PRIDEFUL
Jeremiah 9:23 Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom
Rev. 3:7-22 It was pride that caused the collapse of the Worldwide Church of God. Mr. Armstrong won't enter 1st Resurrection because he quenched the Holy Ghost and forbade worship. But he was a true apostle but just never yet reached enough holiness/perfection in Christ.
1 Thes. 5:20 Probably talking about speaking in tongues. Don't forbid if someone really speaks in tongues. Must allow worship including shouting, dancing, saying "Amen", raising hands and speaking in tongues. It is pride that says "But someone might see me."
